Had a brilliant afternoon at the CakesSmith doing the chocolate workshop. Louise was fantastic , she was very welcoming and helpful throughout. I learnt lots of tips and the truffles and brownies were amazing. Would definitely recommend the CakesSmith will definitely be doing another workshop in future, thanks again Louise! 😊

An absolutely amazing afternoon tea experience and would definitely recommend to others! Louise was so warm and welcoming and showed us everything step by step to create some amazing treats. We made cupcakes, scones and mousse as well as getting to eat an afternoon tea with Prosecco as a little break. We had a fabulous time and got to take everything home at the end and it tastes delicious! I would 100% go back for another one of the workshops she provides.

A fantastic morning to celebrate a birthday! Great workshop! Louise was so lovely. Booking was easy and was in touch about it before hand. A really relaxed and lovely session. Great mix of baking, decorating but also drinking tea (and Prosecco) and eating lots of lovely treats! We got to bring so much home with us that we had made and despite all saying ‘ours won’t look as good as that’ they all looked brilliant! It was great to learn things which we can use again at home when baking. Will certainly be taking more people and visiting again!

I can’t recommend Louise’s kids parties highly enough! The organisation was fantastic, the kids had so much fun and it was really reasonably priced. They came away with skills and lots of sweet treats. Perfect for my 8 year old and her 6 friends.

What a fabulous day louise was a great teacher and made you very welcome and comfortable got to make some lovely cupcakes also decorated biscuits and made chocolate cake lollies & hearts would highly recommend we had a break and we was given drinks and cake treats wish was a welcome surprise went home with two box’s of what we made look forward to going again.

The macaron baking experience was my 10 year olds Christmas gift. We had the most wonderful day with Lou who effortlessly managed a young baker.

From the demonstrations and then careful guidance we both produced a perfect set of macarons. My daughter was thrilled and the sweet treats sampled whilst we waited for everything to bake were amazing.

What an amazing day not only did we make amazing treats, I finally understood how to pipe icing and create fancy cup cakes. We really enjoyed our treatbox workshop today. Louise was warm and friendly and made us feel at ease really quickly. We had a fantastic time. It was so lovely to pause in between activities to try some different tasty nibbles all presented beautifully to make it feel like a real treat! The workshop was really clear to follow along, well organised and Louise was so approachable to ask questions or ask for a little help! Even though we had both done baking at home previously we both came away having learned some new skills, techniques, tips and tricks and are absolutely thrilled with what we had created! Can't wait to give some new ideas and equipment a try! Will keep an eye out for future workshops and would love to come back. 💕

Amazing time at The Cakesmith. Louise went through the elements of making the sponge cake for the cupcakes, gave us good tips for making sponge cake. We then made the truffles to decorate later and it was afternoon tea time for us. Sandwiches and cakes were delicious, table and tea well presented. After the afternoon tea we decorated our cup cakes and truffles. Louise is always to hand to advise and shows you initially how to decorate. We so enjoyed our day and plan to go to another event in the future.
